It is not a formulation-transfer or technology-transfer service.When Customization Makes SenseWhat You ReceiveDepending on the agreed project scope, a Customization program may include:The specific number of development iterations, samples, tests, deliverables and technical activities included in a project are determined by the applicable quotation or project agreement.Material Platforms CoveredCustomization ModelCustomization programs deliver proprietary 3Dresyns® material systems developed against an agreed technical brief.The customer receives the custom material and the Product-specific technical information and processing guidance included in the applicable project scope.Formulation details, chemical compositions, raw-material architecture, synthesis routes, manufacturing procedures and other proprietary know-how are not disclosed or transferred under the standard Resin Customization program.Unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise, the underlying formulation architecture, development methodology, manufacturing know-how and proprietary material platform remain owned and controlled by 3Dresyns®.Engineering Performance WindowDepending on chemistry, application and material architecture, Customization projects may target material characteristics within engineering ranges such as:These values describe the broader applicable to a particular project must be established separately according to the application, material architecture and agreed development scope.Technical Targets and Acceptance CriteriaCustomization projects may be structured around measurable technical targets such as hardness, mechanical properties, thermal resistance, viscosity, curing behaviour, dimensional behaviour, optical performance or other application-specific requirements.A development target is not automatically a guaranteed contractual acceptance criterion.Where a property is intended to constitute a binding project acceptance criterion, the applicable project documentation should identify the property, target or tolerance, relevant test method and test conditions where appropriate.Technical properties may depend on printing parameters, geometry, printer condition, processing, cleaning, post-processing, post-curing, environmental conditions and test methodology.Prototype Development and IterationsCustomization normally involves development and evaluation cycles appropriate to the technical difficulty of the project.The number of prototype batches, development iterations and evaluation cycles included is determined by the applicable project scope.Material changes requested after the agreed technical specification has been established may constitute a change of scope and may require additional development work and fees.Printer and Process CompatibilityWhere relevant, Customization may include alignment of the material with a defined printing technology, wavelength, printer architecture or process.Compatibility with a technology does not constitute universal validation on every printer using that technology.Where printer-specific performance is a material project requirement, the relevant printer model, configuration and operating conditions should be identified in the development specification.Integration with Manufacturing WorkflowsMaterial development is performed with consideration of relevant manufacturing constraints, including where applicable:The objective is to develop materials with practical implementation requirements in mind rather than evaluating isolated laboratory properties only.Scale-Up and SupplyWhere included in the applicable project scope, development may consider scalability and subsequent material supply.Successful prototype development does not mean that identical results can automatically be assumed at every production scale or under every customer manufacturing condition.Where relevant, scale-up may require further optimization because mixing, dispersion, heat transfer, process equipment, batch size and other manufacturing variables can affect final material behaviour.Proprietary Supply PlatformCustom-developed materials are normally supplied as proprietary 3Dresyns® material systems.The customer purchases and uses the custom-developed material according to the applicable supply framework without receiving the confidential formulation or manufacturing architecture behind it.Commercial conditions for subsequent supply, including Product configuration, quantities, lead times and pricing, may be established separately from the initial development project.Intellectual Property & ConfidentialityProject-Generated Intellectual PropertyThe project may generate new material architectures, formulation know-how, processing knowledge, customer-specific data, inventions or other technical results.Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, development of the proprietary custom material and the formulation and manufacturing know-how required to produce it remain within the 3Dresyns® proprietary material platform.Any different ownership, licensing, exclusivity, patent or technology-transfer arrangement must be expressly established in a separate written agreement.No Implied ExclusivityA Customization project does not automatically provide the customer with exclusive ownership or exclusive rights over a chemistry, formulation family, material architecture, application field or technology.Where exclusivity is commercially required, its application, field of use, territory, duration, supply conditions and other relevant restrictions must be expressly agreed in writing.3Dresyns® remains entitled to use its general knowledge, skills, Background Intellectual Property, formulation methodologies and independently developed know-how, subject to its confidentiality obligations regarding customer-specific Confidential Information.Resin Customization Is Not Technology TransferResin Customization and Technology Transfer are different commercial programs.Resin Customization develops a proprietary ready-to-use material system while protecting the underlying formulation and manufacturing architecture.Where a customer instead requires disclosure, licensing or assignment of a formulation, synthesis method or manufacturing know-how, such a requirement falls outside the standard Resin Customization program and must be evaluated under a separate contractual framework.For 2D formulation and synthesis consulting and technology-transfer projects involving inks, coatings, paints, adhesives, resins and related functional materials, see Technology Transfer.Regulatory-Oriented DevelopmentFor projects intended for medical, dental, food-contact, pharmaceutical-related or other regulated applications, material development may take relevant customer quality, testing and regulatory requirements into account where these requirements are included in the technical project scope.Where relevant to the customer's final medical-device development process, projects may consider requirements associated with ISO 13485 quality-management environments and ISO 10993 biological-evaluation strategies.This does not mean that 3Dresyns® certifies, classifies or obtains regulatory approval for the customer's final medical device, food-contact application, pharmaceutical application or other regulated Product.The customer remains responsible for determining the applicable classification, regulatory pathway, biological evaluation, migration or contact testing, validation, conformity assessment, registration and market authorization required for its final Product.Biological and Application-Specific EvaluationWhere biological, food-contact, pharmaceutical-contact or other application-specific evaluation is relevant, the appropriate testing and validation strategy depends on the customer's final Product, intended use, contact conditions, manufacturing process and applicable regulatory framework.Material development or material-level testing alone should not be interpreted as regulatory validation or approval of the customer's final Product.Customer ValidationThe customer remains responsible for validating the final custom material within its actual printer, manufacturing process, Product design and intended application.Recommendations, prototype results and development data generated under controlled conditions do not eliminate the need for customer-specific production and application validation.No Guaranteed Regulatory or Commercial OutcomeCustomization is a professional material-development program.Unless expressly agreed as a specific contractual deliverable, the program does not guarantee:No Customer Access to 3Dresyns® FacilitiesPurchase of a Customization project does not grant the customer, its auditors, consultants, notified bodies acting for the customer or other private third parties any right to access, inspect or audit 3Dresyns® facilities, laboratories, manufacturing areas, systems, development tools or confidential processes.Technical information and
