A slim pencil case combines colourful patterns with practicality and they are so great for easily keeping a few bits together, whether it’s coming to a meeting with you or stopping things getting lost at the bottom of your handbag. It can easily store a few pens and pencils in it, some makeup essentials, your headphones/lip balm/hair-ties or even just to keep your epi-pen or medication concealed but easily to hand. Featuring my colourful and popular abstract Cutouts pattern - in not 1 but 2 colourways - this case goes perfectly with the stationery range. And I’m ridiculously excited to be able to add these complementary fabric items to the Holchester Designs range now that I’ve found a collaborator that is both UK based and who also values sustainable practices just like me. The pattern was originally inspired by Matisse’s flat-colour collages and the popular 80s/90s aesthetic that’s been making a comeback these last few years, and it uses some hand-drawn shapes which I then refined digitally before turning them into a repeat pattern. The 100% cotton fabric for these cases has been sourced and printed in Scotland, and then handmade (also in Scotland) in small batches to ensure minimum fabric waste. The YKK zip is really sturdy, made from recycled plastic and with a leather zip pull for ease of opening. Plus the thread used is also from recycled plastic and the case is fully lined for maximum practicality. It will be posted out to you packaged simply with a recycled and recyclable tag, before being wrapped and posted out in our standard recycled/recyclable plastic-free packaging.
