This great quality product contains the same active ingredient as Cutrine Plus™ Liquid but comes in an easy to use granular formula that is effective at killing Chara and heavy mats of Algae that grow along the bottom of your lake or pond. Cat litter size granules settle on and within algae and immediately begin attacking it. Ideal for use on Chara or carpet algae that form on the bottom of your pond or lake. Granules will sink, falling into the algae mats as they dissolve, the CutrinePlus will be absorbed by the algae and killed. Pro tip: For best results, use under conditions of minimum water flow. Apply early in the morning of a calm, sunny day. Contact time should be at least 3 hours. Treat heavy infestations in sections to avoid oxygen depletion. Algae/Chara should be treated in Spring and Summer or when the target plant is in its early growth stages. Mature, established Algae/Chara may become calcified in hard water and very difficult to control. There is no minimum water temperature recommended for use.
