Hardwood cutting boards with a hemp loop for hang drying. Various species available. Flaxseed Oil Finish Yoav Liberman is a studio furniture maker, Judaica artist, and educator. Hi s work spans original ritual objects, fine furniture, and sculptural pieces—often blending reclaimed wood, traditional techniques, and contemporary design. In addition to building Torah arks, Etrog boxes, chuppah poles, and other original Judaica, Yoav restores heirloom ritual objects, including Torah Rollers (Atzei Chaim) and Megilah cases, often reconstructing lost decorative elements in metal and inlay. Born in Israel and trained as an architect, Yoav brings a deep material sensibility and narrative approach to his work. He is one of the artists featured in Modern Judaica: Today’s Makers, Today’s Sacred Objects, and his work has also appeared in several of Lark’s 500 series books. He exhibits widely, teaches woodworking, and writes regularly about design and craft. Show more
