Rotlich means, simply, reddish, an honest description of a wine that sits somewhere between a light red and a deep rosé and refuses to pick a side. Andi Mann farms organically in E ckelsheim and makes this in the least interventionist way he can: whole fruit, native yeasts, nothing added and nothing stripped out. Bright red berries, cranberry and cherry skin, a whisper of herbs, and soft, barely-there tannins. Serve it with a proper chill; it is a wine for warm evenings and second glasses rather than contemplation. Show more
