New CV Violin Pickup - Simply Slides Into Place On A Violin Bridge ....when you need a pickup some of the time or all of the time..... The new CV pickup is more than a quick and simple solution to the "I gotta have a pickup on my violin" problem. It is a really good sounding pickup that just doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The CV is an entirely new take on a violin pickup. Technical The CV just slides onto your existing violin bridge and stays in place on the bridge due to the design of the pickup body. No modification to the instrument or bridge is required, no adhesive or putty is used. The pickup comes complete and ready to use with a 10 foot shielded cable and standard 1/4" plug. The CV is designed for use on violins and will fit both right handed and left handed instruments. The pickup simply slides onto the existing bridge and is held in place by the shape of the pickup itself. No screws to turn, no adhesives to use. The CV can be moved from violin to violin in an instant, it's that easy.....and the sound of the pickup is exceptional, never mind the fact that it isn't expensive. This pickup will handle anything you throw at it - from full stage use..... to just doing loops. Note that the CV is intended for use on violins and will comfortably fit virtually all normal violin bridges. It was not designed to be used on violas due to the thicker nature of a viola bridge. The maximum thickness of a bridge that the the CV will accommodate (as measured at the bottom arc) is 5.1mm (0.200"). View Installation Instructions: CV.pdf Amplification This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.) As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp.
