Unlike the tender cyclamen commonly grown as houseplants, Cyclamen hederifolium is a hardy outdoor perennial. It is particularly lovely planted beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, in lightly shaded borders, woodland-style planting, rock gardens and containers, where its decorative foliage continues to provide interest long after flowering. Plant in a partially shaded position in well-drained soil and water regularly while establishing, allowing excess water to drain freely.
