Beginning with Charlemagne and with simple sentence construction, the cards will provide students with an opportunity to practice their diagramming skills in increasing detail as they progress all the way to the end of apartheid in South Africa and compound-complex constructions. SCIENCE 2 (96 sentences)Our Science 2 Brashcards set includes 96 science-themed sentences. Touching on the subjects of ecology, astronomy, and physical science, the cards will provide students with an opportunity to practice their diagramming skills in increasing detail as they progress from simple to compound-complex sentence constructions. KING ARTHUR (20 sentences)This set of 20 Brashcards features sentences from the classic tale of King Arthur. ROBIN HOOD (20 sentences)This set of 20 sentences features the swashbuckling details from the legend of the heroic outlaw Robin Hood. THE PROMISES OF GOD (28 sentences)This "plus" set of 28 sentences was inspired by the desire to provide teachers with a set of encouraging scripture promises and students with a set of relatively easy diagramming challenges. We believe that this set will be particularly accessible for beginning diagrammers and hope that both teachers and students will come away from their grammar studies being encouraged by the message and the mode! Each set includes the Brashcards, a set of worksheets that students can use for parsing and diagramming each sentence, and a master list of sentences that parents can use to dictate sentences to help students practice their handwriting and spelling. Visual students will appreciate Grammar Nerds Club's Brashcards' color-coding for various parts of speech as they learn to diagram sentences. The front of each card features a sentence that students will diagram on the included worksheets. Parents can laminate the cards for extra durability and to allow students to write on the fronts of the cards with markers as they parse each word. After the student has finished, simply flip over the card to determine whether their parsing and diagram is correct. This product is a digital download: by your purchase, you are acknowledging that no physical cards will be shipped to you. The product contains sets of PDF files that can be downloaded and viewed on a computer or printed on card stock and cut to make individual cards (each sized 5.5" x 4.25"). Brashcards are designed to complement a complete grammar curriculum such as Classical Conversations' Essentials program.
