Plucked from the earth Introducing the Cypress Coffee Table: a stunning fusion of bespoke design and collaboration. Together with Studio Kardum, we visualized a unique designed object that celebrates the raw elegance of stone. Inspired by the rugged, untouched beauty of nature, we designed something that feels intrinsically of the earth. To preserve the organic texture of the stone while keeping the table-top functional and easy to clean, we employed a meticulous process. By flaming the stone and using delicate ceramic brushes, we achieved a smooth, textured finish. The chiseled edges echo the rawness of a chunk of stone, while the cored out interior maintains heft and allows for simplified movement.
