Cyrtosperma beccarianumCyrtosperma beccarianum is a large wet-growing aroid with elongated arrow-shaped leaves and narrow rear lobes. Strong central and side veins structure the firm, slightly rippled green blades. Thick upright petioles may carry small prickles, adding a rough texture beneath the broad foliage.Small plants show simpler arrows held relatively close to the base. Later leaves lengthen markedly, and their rear lobes extend into the narrow rabbit-ear form that gives an older specimen its distinctive outline. The supporting petioles thicken and lift these heavier blades well above the younger growth.Increasing scale affects every part of the plant: veins look deeper, leaf surfaces more corrugated and the prickled lower structure thicker and rougher. At full size, long rear lobes rise behind broad blades on thick upright petioles.
