Cytisus Splendens is an attractive Broom variety boasting masses of small golden-yellow and red flowers throughout late spring and early summer. These are followed by tiny dark green leaves on the shrub’s upright-to-arching green stems. The flowers are a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, creating a real buzz around the shrub from May to June. These versatile shrubs are the perfect addition to any outdoor space. They grow well in beds and borders, filling in gaps and providing structure. They are also well-suited to container gardening and do well in patio pots. Broom plants are undemanding shrubs that are easy to grow and look after. They prefer a sunny spot in well-draining soil that is unlikely to get waterlogged. They tolerate an exposed site and are hardy against UK winter temperatures. Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
