The latest iteration of the Standard Series D-18 now features Golden Era Scalloped bracing to deliver the full-bodied tone of the 1930s classics. It's available in an all-satin finish for a lightweight feel that won't collect fingerprints. Sometimes, the gloss is too much, and the satin sheen is elegant and beautiful in its own way. The top bracing is the same GE Scalloped Spruce pattern you find on the Modern Deluxe Series. Forward-shifted just like in the Golden Era, this bracing helps the model consistently deliver vintage-inspired tone and sustain with more bass presence to improve the overall balance.
