USS The Sullivans (DDG-68) is an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided-missile destroyer, commissioned in 1997 and named in honour of the five Sullivan brothers of Waterloo, Iowa, who a ll perished together when the light cruiser USS Juneau was sunk in November 1942 — the greatest single loss of siblings by a US military family in WWII. Unlike the WWII-era destroyers elsewhere in Dragon's 1/350 range, this kit represents a modern warship: a Flight I Burke-class hull fitted with the SPY-1D phased-array radar, Mk 41 vertical launch system, a 5-inch/54 Mk 45 gun and Phalanx CIWS mounts, all reproduced with Dragon's characteristic slide-moulded precision.
