The Bergepanther was Germany's dedicated armoured recovery vehicle, built on the combat-proven Panther tank chassis to give recovery crews the mobility, armour protection and power needed to retrieve damaged tanks under fire — a role earlier improvised recovery vehicles simply could not perform safely. This version is depicted fitted with its mounted timber jib, the fold-down wooden crane arm used to lift engines and heavy components during field repairs.Dragon reproduces the Panther-derived hull and running gear with the same slide-moulded precision used across its Panther range, while adding the specific superstructure changes, spade/winch equipment and stowage bins unique to the Bergepanther conversion.
