The Jagdpanzer IV/70(V), built by Vomag, mounted the powerful 7.5cm PaK42 L/70 gun - the same long-barrelled weapon fitted to the Panther - in a low, well-sloped casemate superstru cture on the Panzer IV chassis, giving German tank destroyer units a vehicle that combined heavy firepower with a much smaller silhouette than a turreted tank. This command variant added extra radio equipment and an additional aerial mount so that unit commanders could coordinate their vehicles in action during the fighting of 1944-45. Dragon's kit renders the sharply angled glacis and casemate sides using slide-mould technology for crisp weld seams and hatch detail, and includes the long L/70 gun barrel, distinctive box-shaped muzzle brake and the vehicle's characteristic wire-mesh Schürzen side skirts. Individual workable track links and detailed road wheels reproduce the running gear accurately. The kit includes photo-etched parts for fine details such as the side-skirt hangers and stowage racks, along with decals for command-vehicle markings and a full instruction manual.
