Using a floor-length mirror, add strips of Terrific Trimmers® around the left, top, and right edges to frame the mirror and make it POP! If your mirror is mounted on the wall, you can frame the bottom edge as well. We generously taped the Terrific Trimmers® to the back of the mirror, so the colorful side peeks out. You decide if the wavy edge or straight edge of the trimmer shows, and how much. To finish off the mirror decorations, we added a few of our print-then-cut flowers to the bottom corner. Plant your affirmations! Take the empty potting bench from the Well Wishes Bulletin Board Set and use this as the base your affirmations will sit on. Since this display is in a reading corner, the bottom of our bench “sits” on the top of a bookcase. The bench can accommodate four Garden Plants accents and four Garden Signs accents for a total of eight affirmations. Take the accents of your choice and write your desired affirmations on them. Look at our affirmations list for ideas! Then, add your four potted plants to the bench and tuck four garden signs behind the plants. Add an inspiring message! Using the Summer Morning Ready Letters®, we added “Rooting for You” above the mirror. We used all capital letters from the pack to create our look. Decorate around the message with pollinators or other critters of your choice. We used dragonflies from the Well Wishes Bulletin Board Set and a Garden Bee Mini Accent. Water your work! Finish off this display by adding the watering can and water stream from the Well Wishes Bulletin Board Set. The practice of tending to your garden is a lot like the practice of positive self-talk ... they're both tools to experience growth! Put in the practice! To use this station, encourage students to stand in front of the mirror, choose an affirmation, and repeat it aloud 5-10 times. It’s important to speak these affirmations as if they are true.
