Measuring 13.5 inche s long by 9.5 inches wide, this pierced drainer was originally designed to rest inside a matching meat platter, allowing juices to drain away while keeping food elevated for serving. Today, these charming pieces are highly sought after by collectors and decorators alike for their distinctive form and beautiful display appeal. Decorated in the iconic Blue Willow pattern, the drainer features pagodas, bridges, birds, willow trees, and traditional Chinese-inspired landscape motifs rendered in rich cobalt blue transferware.
