Ainara captures a slice of life storyboard through the lens of the “provincia” (countryside), which mirror the lifestyle of her grandparents back home in Batangas. This print is an ode to the diaspora who grew up in cities as a reminder that we can uphold the animist life wherever we are: preparing a homecooked meal for a loved one, being involved in community gardens, or thanking the sun that shines on our skin. ꩜ This scene was lovingly painted in watercolour to promote returning to creating with our hands again.
