A very hip little block this one. Reminiscent of the sixties and flower power, if you want it to be, or just delicately pretty with a more subtle choice of fabric. We start with the usual Stargazey style of working, with fabrics cut from simple squares and rectangles, then we get slashing and restitching. These crooked blocks are the easiest around. There are three blocks sizes to choose from; 6”, 8” and 10” square. I have pieced in the centrez but it would also be very effective to use a big button, yo-yo or even an appliqued circle for a slightly different look.
