Plant Daisy Gardenias in full sun to light shade. Shade is especially good during the hotter months of the year to prevent the foliage from scorching and buds from falling off. In cooler areas, full sun is best, but in hotter areas, you may want to ensure the shrub has shade from the hot afternoon sun. When planting, dig a hole twice the size of the root ball.
