Komenuka is the Japanese name for rice bran, which forms the basis for these plant-based candles, made by a 100+ year old Japanese family company whose origin lies in the productio n of candles for Buddhist temples. Made from 100% rice bran wax, they burn cleaner and brighter than paraffin, beeswax, and soy wax candles. They’re further distinguished by their extremely long burn times: each mini candle burns for 40 minutes. The soft ivory color is both natural and pleasing to the eye.
