The single vineyard wine from Dalamara - easily one of the most exciting domaines in Greece - is next level Xinomavro and combines the aromatic finesse of Pinot Noir with the struc ture of Nebbiolo. It includes fruit from a block of pre-phylloxera vines planted in the 1920s that has been described by Greek Master of Wine Yiannis Karakasis as Naoussa's Grand Cru. This is a serious wine and can age effortlessly for decades but is already intensely enjoyable, delivering aromas of cherry, raspberry, black tea, bramble and olive, with a palate that's wonderfully concentrated with powerful yet well-integrated tannins, balanced acid, huge complexity and a long, mineral-driven finish.
