It typically consumes 2.7mA, requiring a DALI power supply (DALI PS) for operation. The connection to the DALI line is polarity-free, and the DALI input is protected against overvoltage up to 250VAC. For RM8/16 and RM16-DE types, the DALI terminals are connected through internally as shown on the housing. The RM8/16 relay output supports loads up to 2000VA and switching currents up to 16A, depending on the type. To prevent the load current from exceeding the relay’s maximum switching current, an appropriate automatic circuit breaker must be installed. Switching occurs at the zero-crossing of AC voltage. The RM16 DE (Art.Nr.: 86458629-DE) and RM16 HS (Art.Nr.: 86458629-HS) types feature an integrated current limiter, making them ideal for loads with high inrush current over 100A. The DALI-2 versions (art.nr.: 86456944-_ and art.nr.: 86456203-_) are functionally identical to the original DALI variants but include DALI-2 certification and the "Identify" function for enhanced configuration and addressing.
