On Borrowed Time, Dana Fuchs proves why she’s one of the most electrifying voices in modern blues-rock. With her trademark raspy roar and a soul-drenched delivery, Fuchs blends roo tsy swagger with heartfelt vulnerability, making every track feel like it was ripped from her own life and set to fire. The album kicks off with barn-burners like “Double Down On Wrong” and “Not Another Second On You”, showcasing Fuchs’ fierce energy and sharp lyrical bite. Then she shifts gears into raw, emotional territory with “Lonely For A Lifetime” and the moving title track “Borrowed Time”, reminding listeners that behind the grit lies a storyteller with a gift for connecting through song. Recorded with a full-throttle band that leans into rock riffs, gospel harmonies, and bluesy grooves, the record captures both the rowdy edge of a smoky bar gig and the emotional depth of a confessional ballad. It’s a dynamic mix that reflects Fuchs’ career path across music, Broadway stages, and even Hollywood screens. Borrowed Time isn’t just another blues-rock record - it’s a statement of resilience, passion, and the urgency of living in the moment. Whether you’re here for the foot-stomping riffs or the soul-baring ballads, Dana Fuchs delivers it all with fire, grit, and grace. Show more
