Modern Feather Fern Pantograph – A Timeless Design with a Contemporary Twist This is our studio’s modern take on the classic feather pantograph. By softening the leaves and incorporating a more typical fern shape, we’ve added a contemporary twist to this timeless design. Feathers are popular quilting patterns because they enhance a quilt’s texture without overwhelming it, and the dense stitching ensures your quilt will endure many, many washes. While it does take some time to stitch out, the final result is well worth the effort. Size: 18" width x 10.4" height (Unnested) Repeat: 8.75" Recommended Stitching: Row height 10–19" Ideal for: Larger stitch-outs to maximize throat depth Backstitching: Medium – see video This design offers a beautiful, textured finish that will add elegance and sophistication to your quilt projects.
