The symbolism of the snake shedding its skin has always resonated with me as a reminder of growth, renewal and letting go of what no longer serves us. As someone born in the Year of the Horse, this particular shift felt personal. It arrived at a time when I was thinking about change, new beginnings and the kind of person I want to become. Through this painting, I wanted to capture that sense of transformation and possibility.
