Pearls are magical WATER Elements that represent deep faith and trust. Pearls are formed when a tiny irritant, like a grain of sand, gets inside the sensitive inners of a mollusk. The mollusk begins to wrap the grain of sand in a coat of hard, shiny, nacre. It wraps it over and over, until a Pearl, so beautiful, and truly one of its kind, is made. This is the impetus behind my "In a Grain of Sand" Collection: a visual reminder of how something that begins as an irritant, can, with time and care, can turn into something incomparably exquisite.
