180 gram double yellow vinyl. Highly recommended. Wow, a classic second album by the Dandy Warhol's. This is a long album (over an hour) and the tracks come in waves of either upbeat more commercial tracks with lulls of slow trippier tracks. Of the former tracks the singles "Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth" and "Boys Better" stand out. But there are other highlights such as "Every Day Should Be A Holiday" (with it's new wave electro overtones, a first sign of future directions) and the layered "Good Morning", one of their greatest moments. Their earlier shoegazing influences shine on "Hard On For Jesus" and their sense of humour shines on "Cool As Kim Deal". Of the slower tracks "Green" especially stands out. They take you on a trip with this album with a lengthy opening track ("Be-In") and two final lengthier drone like closing tracks ("Pete International Airport"/"The Creep Out") and in between you have those waves of upbeat and then slower tracks. Near perfection.
