Following-up 2009's The Dandy Warhols Are Sound, the album was produced by The Dandy Warhols and Jeremy Sherrerand is made up of eleven songs written by Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Brent DeBoer, Zia McCabe, and guests David J (Love and Rockets, Bauhaus) and Miles Zuniga (Fastball). This Machine was mixed in the U.K. by Tchad Blake, well known for his recent work with The Black Keys.
