The idea for Remix was born out of family movie nights, where popcorn was the main event. While Danielle was in school at the University of Minnesota, she didn’t have much extra time for family activities, so she and her husband started a weekly movie night tradition with their kids. Every week they created and experimented with unique savory flavors and different stove-top caramel and candied corn recipes. Together, the family decided to take on the venture of opening a storefront that highlighted their passion for family-time and popcorn. Remix opened its doors in November 2019 and the family incorporated their love for music into a music-themed sweets (and salty!) store. Danielle and her family continue their movie night tradition by remixing and creating something new for their customers to remember and enjoy. Remix has over 50 different flavors of popcorn, handmade fudge, freshly spun cotton candy, local craft sodas, gifts and a large selection of new and nostalgic candies.
