Danner Waterproofing Gel blocks water from the outside without compromising breathability. Boots with a GORE-TEX liner are waterproof, but treating the leather is important in order to prevent the creation of water spots between the leather and the GORE-TEX liner. We do not recommend using Danner Waterproofing Gel on nubuck, suede or rough-out leathers. For nubuck, suede or rough-out leather, please use our Waterproofing Spray.Instructions For UseOnce the full-grain leather boots have been cleaned, apply the waterproofing gel with a clean rag and work the substance deep into the pores of the leather. Allow the boots to dry for a few minutes and then wipe away the excess gel. Reapply when you notice the boots taking on excess water.
