Small-town Boy Scout Jimmy Bailey is thrilled when his German Shepherd, Danny Boy, returns home from the Pacific a decorated war hero. But the Baileys' ornery neighbor, Mr. Andrews , considers the former "war dog" a menace to the community and hatches a scheme to get rid of him. He conspires with a farmer to kidnap Danny Boy, however the crafty canine manages to escape.
