Boost yeast health and stabilize fermentation with Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), a 100% food-grade nutrient used to supply essential nitrogen in meads, wines, fruit wines, and hard seltzers. This nutrient is especially valuable in honey- or juice-based fermentations, where natural nitrogen levels are low and yeast can struggle to maintain activity without supplementation. DAP supports strong, steady fermentation by improving yeast vitality, preventing sluggish or stalled fermentations, and promoting cleaner flavor development. Its mineral content helps yeast reproduce efficiently and maintain fermentation momentum, which is critical for high-gravity meads and nutrient-poor musts. Because it provides inorganic nitrogen that yeast can immediately metabolize, it is widely used by home and commercial fermenters for predictable performance. To use DAP effectively, add 0.5–0.75 grams per gallon at the start of fermentation, dissolving it directly into the must. For complex recipes or high-gravity fermentations, it can be paired with a balanced nutrient blend for staged additions. This 4 oz package offers enough material for multiple batches while ensuring consistent, controlled nutrient management across your fermentations.
