Prepare the Area Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, oil or debris. Use drop cloths to protect surrounding areas. 2. Wear PPE Wear gloves, eye protection and work clothing. Foam is highly adhesive and difficult to remove once cured. 3. Shake and Test Shake the can for no more than 30 seconds. Test on scrap material to understand expansion and flow. 4. Apply Carefully Fill gaps only one-third full to allow for expansion. Release the trigger before reaching the end of the gap, as foam continues dispensing briefly. 5. Allow to Cure Polyurethane foam requires some humidity to cure properly. Apply between 16–38°C (60–100°F). Allow full curing before sanding, trimming or painting. 6. Cleanup Clean spills immediately with acetone. Do not use water. Cured foam cannot be dissolved — it must be mechanically removed.
