I've always had a deep appreciation for Crassna-species ouds. There's something uniquely compelling about them—that characteristic fruitiness combined with floral and incense notes that you simply don't find in other species. Crassnaland is my tribute to this remarkable variety. But this oil is something quite different than your ordinary run of the mill Crassna oud oils. It does not come from trees grown in the traditional Crassna heartlands of Thailand and surrounding countries, but instead were grown in Nagaland, Assam, yet you can still smell the terroir in every drop. The opening gives you those classic Crassna markers—a bright, almost effervescent quality with distinct floral undertones. As it develops, the incense character emerges, grounding the composition and adding the kind of depth that makes you keep returning to your wrist throughout the day. I've priced Dar Al Crassna at $350 because I genuinely believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience this unique Crassna oud, grown in the soil of India, distilled the traditional Assamese way, but with the heart of Siam. This isn't a compromise or an entry-level oil in the negative sense, but it's a genuinely excellent and unique oud that happens to be accessible. If you've been curious about what makes Crassna oils so beloved among collectors, this is your invitation to discover it for yourself. Nagaland, India. 2021 Available in a 2.5g bottle only Show more
