Open Edition Location - East Lyme, CT Story I set out to capture the sculptural power of the horse - every line, every contour, every ounce of strength beneath the surface. The hardest part of being a photographer is capturing the idea in your head, it often doesn't look the way you envision it in camera, and it takes a bit of creativity to really bring it to life. This photograph was no exception, I tried posing the horse every which way in order to create the image in my mind. It wasn't working. What began as an idea became clear the moment water traced his form, to help articulate each chiseled muscle, bone, and line of his body I had envisioned all along. Everything changed. The form revealed itself. Every line, every muscle, exactly as I had imagined. Bold. Beauty. Refinement. Power.
