Green's work evokes natures fleeting moments through colour, texture and materials. Dark Night by Ria Green is a moody piece with a soft, textured surface, with washes in charcoal and inky greys over a verdigris ground. Green works with her materials wet incorporating plaster, dyes, oxides, both foraged and cultivated natural materials and self-prepared pigments.
