The album contains the singles "Microphone Master" and "Real Hip-Hop". In addition, the track "Real Hip-Hop" features a guest performance by KRS-One, and on "Represent The Real", Das EFX is backed by EPMD-member PMD. Hold It Down peaked at #22 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on the American Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums.
