"Foo Fighters was another of my bucketlist bands to photograph and it was a magical experience to do it at Ullevi, Sweden. I was there at the first gig after the infamous case where Dave broke his leg. When I stood and waited and looked out over the audience with the camera, I saw this girl sitting on the shoulders of another and when she swung around the sign I could not help but laugh out loud. It quickly became one of my favorite photos from audiences that I have taken and the warm summer evening at Ullevi will live on in my heart. See the image here : Dave Ghrol II When it came time that the band would step out on stage, I saw that the canvas on the sides of the catwalk blew a little and I could swear that I saw a safety cushion on the side where Dave had fallen the last time they played in Gothenburg. And quite rightly, when the music started," Dave "came out on stage but it was in fact a different a man who was dressed as Dave and it took less than 1 minute he had fallen off the stage and onto the carpet and the whole Ullevi drew in his breath. But then like an explosion, real Dave came popping up on stage and the rest of the band and the joy that was with the band and the audience was something like no other. The energy they deliver is, to say the least, electric and contagious.
