Once activated, the sensor will sync to your phone within seconds after you pick up your umbrella. Attach the sensor to your umbrella and download our free app onto your phone (via Apple App store or Google Play). Simply hold the umbrella near the phone for 10 seconds and turn the app on. The umbrella will automatically connect. You can easily turn the alert off or pause it for the day. The sensor is powered from a standard CR2032 cell battery, available at any hardware or drugstore, and should last for more than a full year, depending on use. The battery is easily replaceable. For Android, the sensor is optimized for Samsung Galaxy devices and performance may vary on other Android devices. How does this differ from Tile®, AirTag or other tracking devices? Trackers like Tile and AirTag typically help you locate a misplaced item—keys, TV remote, etc.—after you've lost it. This does not necessarily mean it is the current location, however, if the umbrella has since been moved. Is the app free? Yes!
