I originally created the portrait on my iPad, digitally combining different painting techniques before producing it as a 12-colour Giclée print mounted onto a wood panel. I then worked back into the image by hand, adding gold leaf, gold spray paint, real paint drips and physical textures. The finished piece has the depth and surface character of a traditional mixed-media painting, complete with visible brush marks and individually applied details.
