Jeff Kraus continues to prove that extraordinary art can be created with everyday technologies. Davis Lake, a series of works that explores the artist’s personal relationship to lo cation, memory, and time, was created when time seemed to stand still—during lockdown during the pandemic. In Davis Lake, digital panoramas collaged and glitched atop one another were then transferred onto canvas and panel, hinting at an impermanence where nature collapses against technology and new memories and landscapes are formed.
