"On a crisp fall morning, I hiked along the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park in search of rutting elk crossing the foggy waters. As I listened to a large bull bugling in th e trees, I stopped to await its appearance and possible crossing. During these moments of anticipation, this bald eagle is observed perched on a lodgepole pine across the river. I begis looking back and forth, waiting for the eagle to take off or for the elk to appear on the river’s bank. "Eventually, both happened—simultaneously. “I was able to capture this beautiful bald eagle soaring past pines warmly illuminated by the rising sun, and then immediately turned to make another gallery capture: Foggy Sunrise Bugle.” Show more
