The Chardonnay - winner of the International Wine Challenge Trophy in 2021 and Gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2022 - is a stunner with a smoky, struck match nose and notes of citrus, grapefruit, tangerine and apple. The struck match note soon settles to reveal a crisp, precise palate with citrus and tropical fruit, quite linear and tight to begin with then opening out into an intense and vibrant wine with lemon curd to the fore and a mineral edge. It's balanced, long and delicious and will get better and better with a few more years in bottle. These guys are slightly under the radar and small production, so it's a great time to start following them.
