Adults only please - 19+ Fee for the class will be billed as a $220 charge for each of the two months of the class (4 week month). So the second 4 weeks will be billed separately. This works out to be $55 per class. Tuesday mornings 9:30-12:30 Discover the joy of working with clay in this 8-week beginner handbuilding ceramics class! Perfect for those with little to no experience, this course introduces the foundational techniques of creating pottery without the use of a wheel. This class is taught as one session that lasts 8 weeks. Classes will meet once a week for 7 weeks to make work and glazing will be done in the final class on the 8th week. Throughout the session, students will explore essential handbuilding methods including pinch pots, coil construction, slab building, and surface decoration. Each week builds on the last, guiding you from basic forms to more refined and functional pieces such as mugs, bowls, plates, planters, etc. Emphasis is placed on creativity, craftsmanship, and developing your personal style in a supportive, relaxed studio environment. By the end of the course, students will complete multiple finished and glazed pieces and gain the confidence to continue working independently. All levels welcome—come ready to get your hands dirty and bring your ideas to life in clay!
