Daybreak is a beginner friendly shawl project knit top-down from the center of the wingspan edge to the border. Stockinette stitch with slip stitch stripes form the radiating sun m otif. Choose one skein of each colour (main colour + contrast color) in fingering weight yarn for a graphic two-color version. You can use as many contrast colours as you like to create a gradient sunset effect. The pink purple sample features one main color in cream with six juicy mini skein color pops for the contrast colours. These contrast stripes are perfect for mini skeins or leftover amounts of fingering weight yarn. Self-striping yarns are also fabulous for a color changing contrast colour.
