Barry then created a scarlet defensive costume, built with the same silica-based quartz fabric used by NASA, with the symbol of a golden lightning on the chest. Using his powers, he became the hero defender of Central City known as the Flash, facing criminals such as Captain Boomerang and, after Superman’s death, he was recruited by Batman to form the Justice League.
