Given this mandate, the new 600 “f” revision receives a vented aluminum voice coil insert and vented, finned, aluminum heatsink to conduct and transfer heat away from the subwoofer’s most vulnerable components. As the increased power handling will undoubtedly bring with it greater demand for excursion, a taller surround, double stitched to a fiberglass loaded, non-pressed cone, adjoined to a voice coil featuring increased winding length with DD’s proven double layer spider, offers increased Xmax and elegant styling.
