The De Buyer Mini Automatic Piston Funnel is a compact, manually operated dispensing tool designed for controlled portioning of liquid and semi-liquid ingredients such as sauces, creams, batters, and dressings. The piston mechanism delivers a measured release each time the trigger is operated, helping kitchen teams achieve consistent portion sizes without measuring by eye.In a working kitchen environment, tools like this earn their place through reliability and ease of use rather than complexity. The piston action is straightforward to operate one-handed, which makes it practical during busy service when speed and accuracy both matter. The 0.8 litre capacity suits smaller-batch dispensing tasks well — it is not a bulk production tool, but for plating, finishing, or pastry work at a station it handles the job cleanly. Consistent portioning reduces waste and supports cost control One-handed operation keeps the other hand free during plating Non-slip stand keeps the unit stable on the work surface between uses Stainless steel construction withstands regular cleaning and daily kitchen use Dishwasher safe, reducing cleaning time at end of service The unit is supplied with a 7mm diameter nozzle, which suits most sauce and cream applications. It is worth considering whether that nozzle diameter is appropriate for the consistency of ingredients you intend to dispense — thicker preparations may require a different attachment. Being compact and lightweight, it requires no installation and fits easily into most station setups. This funnel is well suited to pastry sections, plating stations, and smaller food service operations where precise, repeatable portioning adds genuine value. For higher-volume production environments where a larger capacity would reduce refill frequency, it is worth considering whether a bigger model would better serve the workflow. If you are unsure whether this size is the right fit for your operation, the team is happy to talk through your requirements.
