Coming SoonPreorder update: I am CURRENTLY unable to print Traditional due to size limitations of my printer. I am planning an upgrade specifically for this model. I am keeping his Traditional scale open to preorders, but know that they will be the LAST to ship. I am working hard to get him on his way! This one’s gonna be a shelf hog! Deadalus, the next horse to rise from the dead isn’t a horse at all, but a pegasus! (Who knows, maybe his son will rise, too?) What started as an Akhal-Teke sketched in by Leviathan Studio is now a grotesque display of flesh, bones, and feathers. Not even the graceful are spared from the apocalypse! He is in his final revisions and still in the early stages of production. Wings will be printed separately and slot into keys in his body. He is designed to be without a base. In all resins printed by Hexed Hooves, models larger than Venti (and some Venti depending on size of the model) are printed hollow with a drain hole and several vent holes which will be sealed and roughly sanded before shipping. Breather holes will be retained in discrete locations to allow the model to pass air during temperature changes, preventing cracking or explosion. The hollow is thoroughly washed and dried and an internal UV Led is set for a minimum of 5 minutes (often longer) to ensure proper curing, preventing long term weeping. In addition to this, the wall thickness is less than 3mm to promote deep UV penetration. Legs are maintained solid, for structural stability. By processing models this way, the need for a structural wire in the legs is largely eliminated (though some models which balance on one leg would still need support, and warping may still occur if the model is stored in a hot environment.) That is a lot of words for “this resin is cured.” Unlike the zombies 🧟
